Baptism: An outward show of an inward change!

What a person does with their faith in Jesus is the most important decision a person will ever make in their lifetime. The Bible clearly teaches that salvation is found only in Jesus Christ and through no other person or human effort. (Acts 4:12) Not only does Christ invite us into a relationship with Him through His gift of grace, He commands us as followers to be obedient to His ways and words. (Acts 2:38) Christ commands us to be baptized as an act of obedience to Him. Baptism does not add to salvation. Baptism doesn't finalize salvation. Baptism doesn't make a person holier or more spiritual. Here's what baptism is: It's a chance to be obedient to Christ. It's a chance to identify oneself as a believer and follower of Christ. It's a chance to proclaim the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. It's a chance to go public with your faith and confess Jesus as Lord of your life!!!
